I had a great concert at kratz//trugschluss#sechs in Marburg. It was the first time I did a structured improvisation with performance elements. It was filmed, and as soon as I have the footage, I’ll put a link up on here. Afterwards Dr. René Thun talked about Play, Freedom and the Experimental in Music, it led to a lively discussion. The day before the guys of OHM, a soldering space/ open music project here in Marburg played, and Martin Neusiedel of Bar:Noise played some fine vinyl to close the night. Yesterday then was the high peak of the three day music program, when members of the ensemble modern, Frankfurt a.M., played four different locations and presented pieces of New Music, from Lachenmann to Pintscher and Aperghis. All in all, a very good event, three days of experimental/new music in Marburg – not to be seen too often.
